๐Ÿ’œEssex Carers Network is dedicated to supporting family carers, especially those caring for a loved one with a learning disability, autism, or other disabilities, all year round.

๐Ÿ’œEvery year, we team up with various organisations and connect with thousands of people to spread the word about the importance of caring.

๐Ÿ’œWe focus on identifying family carers and guiding them to helpful information, advice, and support services tailored just for them.

At Essex Carers Network we are thinking of carers rights everyday. However to recognise this Carers Rights Day we thought we would share our vision of what a Good Carers Assessment could look like according to the care act, enabling family carers to continue the vital work they do as unpaid carers whilst also maintaining their own quality of life, wellbeing and health.

We understand this may not be happening for every family, but we will strive to support families to have the information and resources they need to help them advocate for themselves and their family member with a learning disability.
