“Did you know that young people and adults with a learning disability are entitled to an Annual Health Check from the age of 14?
Has the person you support had their Annual Health Check?
This can also be a good way to keep them familiar with health professionals if they otherwise do not use the service.
We are very pleased to be able to introduce you to Sharon from the Learning Disability Community Health Team who will guide us through what a good annual health check should include.
The health team will also be explaining other services they provide in the community.
We have daytime and evening webinars available for our members to join for free.
Daytime: Thursday 19th of January at 12.30 pm via Zoom.
Evening: Tuesday 7th of February at 7 pm via zoom.
Our next Space to Gather in Tendring is Thursday 9th of February 2023 from 10 am to 12. We will be meeting on the second Thursday of each month. We look forward to seeing you there.
Our next Craft & Natter Group is on Tuesday the 21st of February 2023 from 6.30 pm – 9 pm.
If you have not attended before, booking is essential, so please do get in touch, we would love more carers to join our lovely crafting group at the Acorn Village. If you are working on a project, you are more than welcome to bring this along. We provide a full FREE art kit.
