Health - Integrated Care Systems - ICS
There are 42 Integrated Care Systems across England. Integrated care systems (ICSs) involve partnerships of organisations who plan and deliver joined up health and care services, its intention is to improve the lives of people who live and work in their area. Essex consists of 3 Integrated Care Boards ICBs, statutory NHS organisations responsible for developing a plan for meeting the health needs of the population, managing the NHS budget and arranging for the provision of health services in the ICS area. The establishment of ICBs resulted in clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) being closed down.

NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board SNEE
Information about the NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (formerly CCG). The care board delegates some authority to the three health and wellbeing alliances that operate in Suffolk and North East Essex to act on its behalf but the ICB remains accountable. The ICB is judged by how well the local health and care systems are working as a whole.
Local residents are welcomed to play a role in the operation of the ICB by sharing experiences and perspectives to shape decision making.
Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System
NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is responsible for deciding how the NHS budget for mid and south Essex is spent.
It is also responsible for developing a plan to improve people’s health, deliver higher quality care and better value for money.
NHS integrated care boards are statutory bodies that bring together local partner organisations and the NHS to improve health and establish share priorities within the NHS.
NHS Hetfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board
NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the local NHS organisation that plans and oversees how NHS money is spent in our area and makes sure health services work well and are of high quality.
The ICB’s role is to join up health and care services, improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities, so that we can all live better, healthier and longer lives.
