Important notice: With the UK Supreme Court overturning the 2014 ‘Cheshire West’ definition of deprivation of liberty, which takes immediate effect, families may see existing DoLs checks and inspections cancelled and there will be a lack of clarity for now. We are waiting for revised guidance, which we will share as soon as we can. We will also then be able to update our factsheets.
