Rita joins the patient panel at Princess Alexandra hospital
Patient panels in hospitals ensure that the hospital trust hears the lived experiences of its patients and works with them to help shape the way in which it delivers healthcare. The patient panel is made up of a group of volunteers who represent patients, families and carers.
All GP practices should have a Patient Participation Group (PPG) which is an opportunity for the community to work with the practice and discuss what matters most to patients and to help identify solutions to challenges.
We were really proud to see Rita a member of our team featured in the annual report of the patient panel at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow. Rita is a member of the panel and is able to share her own experiences and those of our families to support improvements in patients experiences and the services offered at the hospital. Well done Rita you are doing a great job!
We would love to hear from other families who may be on the patient panels at their local hospitals or are part of their patient participation group at their GP surgery, or maybe might be interested in joining their local panel or group, please get in touch info@essexcarersnetwork.co.uk
